You can find many different types of greenhouses on the market today but one of the most common types is a greenhouse with a steel or aluminium frame. They came about in the 90s replacing wood frame greenhouses but perhaps the trend is shifting once more.
Wood frame greenhouses still sell well, and some people will feel as though they look better. The fact is they don’t rust; they can be finished to the owner’s liking, while they may only need a sanding down from time to time. Of course wood can deteriorate but a solid timber that’s finished well can last for years, and it‘s a design n that can give your garden a more traditional feel.
The greenhouses are amiable as a lean-to or as a typical greenhouse design, while some will benefit from sunshine hoods. If you want to maintain a traditional feel in your garden then ditch the steel and opt for wood.
